Celebrating over 40 years of homegrown goodness, the Farmers’ Market of Carbondale brings fresh, seasonal produce and local crafts to Southern Illinois every Saturday, rain or shine
The Historic Market
The Farmers' Market of Carbondale has been acherished local tradition for over 40 years! Operating every Saturday from the last Saturday in March to the first Saturday in December, 8 AM to 12 PM, at the Westowne Shopping Centre, the market showcases a diverse array of fresh, seasonal produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, plants, and handcrafted items—all sourced from Southern Illinois growers and artisans. Enjoy live local music and connect with the community in a welcoming, open-air setting.
When you shop at the Carbondale Farmers Market, you’re doing more than buying fresh food—you’re investing in your community. Every dollar you spend supports local farms and small businesses, helping them thrive and grow. By choosing local, you’re also helping protect the environment through reduced transportation emissions and more sustainable farming practices. Plus, you get food that’s fresher, tastier, and often harvested just hours before it hits the market stand.
Beyond the produce, the market is a gathering space—a place where neighbors connect, kids dance to live music, and new friendships are made. Shopping local is about building a healthier, more connected community one Saturday at a time.
